Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to Washington on Sunday night to meet with President Donald Trump. The meeting is very important for deciding the result of Israel’s war with Hamas, the future of Gaza, and the situation of the surviving hostages.

Before leaving for the U.S., the prime minister told media what topics the two leaders will talk about.

He mentioned three goals: defeating Hamas, freeing all our hostages, and addressing the Iranian terror groups that threaten the safety of Israel, the Middle East, and the whole world.

Netanyahu thinks they can change the Middle East.

“I think we can make security better, create more peace, and reach a great time of peace by being strong.”

Trump invited King Abdullah of Jordan to the White House. He wants Jordan and Egypt to assist in moving people from Gaza so that the area can be rebuilt. Both countries are currently turning down the president’s offer.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said, “We have a clear plan for rebuilding the Gaza Strip, and it will not force anyone to leave their home.” We have a clear plan for this.

Hamas let three more hostages go on Saturday. Israelis were happy to see the returns of Yarden Bibas, Ofer Calderon, and Israeli-American Keith Seigal.

These guys and the other freed hostages talked about the terrible conditions Hamas held them in for over 15 months.

Some were kept in cages and did not receive medical care. Others witnessed their friends being killed or dying slowly. Some were not allowed to cry or hold hands with other captives.

A member of the Israel Defense Forces Medical Corps said that some people were kept in tunnels for up to eight months, without seeing sunshine and having very little touch with others.

Yarden Bibas said that Hamas teased him about what happened to his wife Shiri and their two boys, Ariel and Kfir. Israeli sources say they are very worried about whether they are still living.

ex-hostage Daniella Gilboa shared on social media, “I realized that faith was the only thing that could help us.” She looked forward to the time when she could say the Prayer of Thanksgiving in her church.

Some of the prisoners were kept in places run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Israel has banned UNRWA operations in its territory. It’s the biggest move taken against the U.N. body.

CBN News has reported for years that UNRWA’s education program teaches many Palestinian children to seek the end of Israel.

The war in Gaza also revealed the incestuous connection between UNRWA and the terror group Hamas, where many UNRWA workers worked for Hamas and shared UNRWA infrastructure.
