The Fruit Of Disobedience Part II
Beloved, the anger of God is only reserved for those who will choose to delibrately live in disobedience to God by rejecting Christ during their earthly pilgrimage. Our scriptural focus for today states – You also did these things in the past, when you lived like them. {Col 3:7 ESV}
Christ is the express image of God’s love towards the human world and the basis for the coming glory and judgement that will also come on the whole world. You must always remember that you used to live in all manner of sinful acts until you experienced the saving grace of Christ.
Because all humans were born in sin as the scriptures say – For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. {Ps 51:5 NLT}, So it is clear that this lifestyle of sin was our past but the truth is that it is no longer our present lifestyle. It will be important to emphasize that you were a sinner when you lived under the influence and control of the devil, but now you have a new life which is after Christ. Never allow the devil through his many tricks lure you back into your former lifestyle of disobedience to God, because that is his ultimate goal for every believer in Christ.
The sinful nature was our past, the righteous nature is our present.
