The New Life Realities Part VII
Beloved, the privilege to share in the glory of Christ that will be revealed to the whole world is the climax of our earthly pilgrimage. Our scriptural focus for today states – So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. {Col 3:5 NLT}
We must understand that our Christianity on this earth will amount to nothing if we are not partakers of the coming glory, the question is – What should you do as a believerto ensure that you partake in the coming glory of Christ?. Beloved there is every need to daily discipline yourself to conform to the image of Christ.
Christ has won the victory over sin and the devil on our behalf because we could not face them, but He has given every believer the responsibility to enforce this victory in their personal lives on a daily basis. Beloved it is your personal responsibility to put to death the sinful nature that seeks to influence every human into living under the bondage of sin and the devil. We put the sinful nature to death by Beholding Christ through the written word and fellowship. Secondly by deliberately allowing the Holy Spirit influence our character/lifestyle through the scriptures.
It’s your job to put the sinful nature to death in your life.
