Christ Is The Head Part III
Beloved, the whole body gets its nourishment, guidance and life from Christ, so living your life outside Christ is a dangerous step. Our scriptural focus for today states – You died with Christ and were made free from the powers that influence this world. So why do you act as if you still belong to the world? I mean, why do you follow rules like these: Don’t eat this,” “Don’t taste that,” “Don’t touch that. {Col 2:20-21 ERV}
The mission of Christ to this earth was not to die and resurrect alone, rather His death was the death of all humans and His resurrection was equally the resurrection of all humans. You only begin to enjoy the benefits of His death and resurrection when you acknowledge Him as your Lord and Saviour through the experience of Salvation.
Having received Christ into your live as your Lord and Saviour from the life of sin, you have experienced death with Christ and as the grave and the powers that influence this world could not hold Christ down, in the same way you were made free from the powers that influence this world.
It is an established fact that there are ungodly powers that seek to influence and control every human on this earth, but the good news is that Christ has set you free from their influence because of your unity with Him.
Your death with Christ established your freedom.
