Standing In Prayer Part II
Beloved, In the world we live in falsehood appears to be the accepted way of living, don’t allow the devil trick you into building your life values on falsehood because it has a very short lifespan. Our scriptural focus for today states – I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. {Col 2:1 NLT}
Apostle Paul invested his time and spiritual energy praying not just for the Colossian and Laodicean brethren, whom he may have had personal contact with but he equally laboured in prayer for many other believers in Christ who may be going through one challenge or the other in their faith/life, who have never met him personally. Through this act, Apostle Paul demonstrated that the body of Christ is both universal and united. He didn’t need to have known those believers personally before agonizing in prayer for them, he knew that injury to one is injury to all and joy and happiness to one is the same to all because we all belong to One Big Happy Family in Christ.
Beloved child of God, lets invest in our unity, let’s chase the devil out of the body of Christ by maintaining the unity of the Family we all belong to in Christ. Lets learn like Apostle Paul not just to pray for our biological family members, friends or members of our denomination alone etc, let’s break the boundaries, let’s stretch our prayers to those other believers who do not know us personally. The Holy Spirit can use your prayers to save and establish someone somewhere in his/her faith/life who is about giving up.
Let’s stand united in prayer
Have a Grace filled day – Good news awaits you.
