Standing In Prayer Part I
Beloved, always evaluate yourself in the light of the purpose and ministry of Christ on this earth and you will realize that you’re yet to be all that He created you to be on this earth. Our scriptural focus for today states – I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. {Col 2:1 NLT}
Apostle Paul began to outline the areas he has worked very hard while depending on the mighty power of Christ within him (which is the Holy Spirit). He states – I want you to know how much I have agonized for you. The mighty power of Christ which Apostle Paul was privileged to have was put to effected use in the place of agonizing/contending for the brethren in prayer. The Colossian and Laodicean brethren may have been going through some difficulties in their faith/life, and Apostle Paul wrote to them to assure them of the extent he has put the power of Christ in him to work on their behalf, no doubt his words greatly encouraged the brethren.
Beloved to what extent are you putting the mighty power of Christ you’re privileged to have within you in the person of the Holy Spirit to work. To what extent have you spent time agonizing/contending in prayer for those God has brought your way either to disciple or to ensure they are won to the kingdom of God?. Its our responsibility to agonize/contend in the place of prayer for one another and especially for those who are still in the bondage of satan that Christ will give them life.
Labour hard in prayer for one another.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
