Grace Revealed Part II
Beloved, it is absolutely against Christ for any believer to keep living according to the principles of the law, when the message of grace has been publicly revealed. Our scriptural focus for today states – For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. {Col 1:27 NLT}
The nation of Israel was called the people of God, because it was to them and their fathers that God revealed Himself. So it made the Gentile nations as people without God, who went into all forms of ungodliness and wicked acts. Under the law, Israel was the only nation that had spiritual relationship with God but all that was going to change under grace. It was very difficult for the nation of Israel to come to terms with the new spiritual arrangement that the Gentiles have been included in the new family of God brought about by Christ. Like the scriptures said – God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles.
Beloved in Christ no one is excluded from been a beneficiary of the riches and glory Christ received for humans through His death and resurrection. The Jews had every right to fight for the exclusion of the Gentiles from the riches and glory of Christ but God said No to it, because Christ didn’t die for the Jews alone but for the whole world. Therefore it is your personal responsibility to enjoy the riches and glory of Christ.
You have been included in the riches and glory of Christ.
