God’s Peace Initiative Part II
Beloved, the perversion of the gospel of Christ on the subject of vengeance is one of the greatest challenges of today’s Christianity, be wise. Our scriptural focus for today States – This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. {Col 1:21 NLT}
The sinful nature in humans made it very easy for every human to keep imaging and thinking of how best to do evil and this kept humans away from God. Once upon a time in history we were all enemies of God, not by our own personal choice but sin ruling inside our lives made that choice for all humans who will live on this earth. This scripture sheds more light on the extent of man’s separation from God – The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. (Gen 6:5-6 NLT)
The ultimate plan of the devil for leading humans into the bondage of sin, was to perpetually ensure that the entire human race remains God’s enemies and totally separated from God. But God in His mercy and unexplainable love for humans He turned the plans of the devil around for our good. By this the devil now became the only enemy of both God and humans, therefore if you are no longer God’s enemy, no human is also qualified to be your enemy as a child of God living on this earth.
You where once God’s enemies, now you’re the Apple of His eyes.
