Summary of last Mondays Bible Study on – The New Birth in Christ Part II
Text: John 3:1-16

Introduction
The New Birth in Christ is not about a change of physical status, nor increase in height or change of skin, but a spiritual transformation that occurs in the human spirit, mind and heart. We believe that the change which takes place in a human life at conversion is very real.
The New birth in Christ is a necessary spiritual experience for any human who desires to be victorious over sin and the devil on this side of eternity.

Question 1
Is it possible for someone who has experienced the New birth in Christ, to be  attacked by the devil?
Answer: Yes it is possible because the attacks of the devil against a believer in Christ is part of his/her spiritual growth process. [NLT] 1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
[NLT] Ephesians 6:11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
Question 2
What is spiritual attack
Answer: It can be seen as all the subtle or aggressive strategies employed by the devil to ensure that a believer looses the privileged life in Christ and makes such a candidate for God’s eternal punishment. Simply put distractions from the devil.
Question 3
How can a believer stay strong in times of weakness, during spiritual attacks?
Be open to someone who is more matured in the faith and allow the Holy Spirit through that person to help you stand. [NLT] Galatians 6:1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. [NLT] Galatians 6:2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Question 4
Can a believer be attacked by the devil in his/her dream
Answer: It is possible because the dream world is also a place where spiritual activities take place. The devil knows this, so he seeks to manipulate humans through any means possible (dreams inclusive) with the intention of derailing their faith in Christ, but the believer in Christ is empowered through the ministry of the Holy Spirit to overcome any attack of the devil whether in the dream or real life situation.
Question 5
If the devil attacks spiritually (i.e in the dream) and it appears that he/she fell for it in that dream, does it mean he/she has committed sin spiritually?
Answer: Sin can only be committed in real life and not in the dream. Furthermore, if the devil attacks a believer through dreams, his intention is to create a feeling of sin/unworthiness and danger when that person wakes up, that is why it is very important for every believer to know God personal through the scriptures. The ministry of the Holy Spirit through the scriptures will deliver that believer from that deception of the devil.

Take Away Thought – The evidence of the new birth in Christ is the witness of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer in Christ.
