Limitless Freedom Part III
Beloved, a true friend is someone who accepts your past, supports your present level of life and does all to encourage your future in the right direction. Build true friendships. Our scriptural focus for today states – For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. {Gal 5:13 NLT}
The dispensation of grace offers humans a lot of freedom in comparison with the provisions of the law. The law was described as a task master and those who lived under it went through a lot to please God. Because the dispensation of grace is not based on immediate punishment for sin, as the law prescribes, Christians can easily misuse it and can deliberately be living in sin while still professing to be a member of a church, or even a worker or a leader in the church etc. The temptation to hid under grace and be secretly indulging in sinful practices is not peculiar to one Christian alone, rather it is such that is common to man, but it is now a personal decision to either give in to the deception of the devil or use grace as an opportunity to serve God and the brethren.
The freedom we have in Christ is meant to be used in loved to serve God and humanity. Hear what the scripture says - And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. {Rm 5:5 NLT}
Beloved God loves you very dearly and His expectation is that you will extend the same love to humanity. He didn’t ask us to serve one another with eye service with the intention of getting a reward from those we serve, rather He prescribes selfless service that is rooted in the biblical love that made Jesus to die on the cross for our redemption.
Let service be based on God’s kind of love.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
