Spiritual Dignity Restored Part III
To have that peace that passes human understanding is not the absence of troubles in a persons life, rather it is the presence of Jesus Christ in a human life, who is the Prince of Peace. Our scriptural focus for today states – God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. {Gal 4:5 NLT}
The entire human race were lawful captives both to the law and satan, so to secure the human freedom was not going to come cheap. Looking back to the days of slave trade both during the Bible and also the world histories, it was actually a painful experience for those who went through it. When a person is said to be a slave, he/she loses all his/her rights and privileges to the person that is his/her master, similarly when we were under the slavery of the law and satan, we lost all our spiritual and physical rights and privileges to the law and satan which were our masters.
God driven by unexplainable love for the entire human race sent Christ to buy back our freedom because He could not bear seeing man made in His own image and likeness languishing in bondage. The freedom of the world is priceless because it cost God Himself. It took the sacrifice of the life of Christ, who is a manifestation of the Godhead to free humans from the age long bondage brought upon the human race by Adam and Eve.
God went this far to satisfy all the requirements for our adoption, so that everyone who receives Christ into his/her and daily lives the life of righteousness can walk with their shoulders high on this earth as Gods own children. Note that our freedom is not based on us but on the works of Christ. Therefore we are no longer in bondage both to the law and the devil, we are free people, with all our creation rights and privileges restored.
Christ in you is the mark of adoption and sonship in God.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
