Unity in Diversity Part I
Stand up, release your faith, put the word of God first in your life and in all you do, then put your name in the promises of the Bible and speak same to your circumstances. Our scriptural focus for today states – There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. {Gal 3:28 NLT}
Having put to death our old nature of sin through our unity with Christ in baptism and has resurrected with Him unto newness of life, which is likened to putting on new clothes. Everything that came from the old nature including division along racial lines, religious lines, ethnic lines etc, Christ abolished them once and for all.
In the new kingdom Christ began building after His resurrection, there is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female, black or white, because He[Christ] abolished everything that established those divisions in the old covenant, which was presenting Him[God] as only the God of Israel and not the God of the whole world. Therefore it is wrong and totally against the principles of the new covenant in Christ to rate anyone’s salvation/spirituality based on his/her colour, tribe, gender or any other human status. We are all one in Christ and share the same privileges in Christ irrespective of the colour of our skin, our tribe/ethnic group, our gender, our economic/social status etc.
Do not allow the devil use you as an instrument of division in the Body of Christ, we may all belong to different Christian denominations and fellowships but in Christ and in Christ alone we all stand. Bear in mind that no one single denomination or fellowship can accomplish the Great Commission, therefore we must recognize through the Holy Spirit that we share unity in diversity in the Body of Christ.
Our oneness in Christ is our bond and strength.
