Living For Christ Part VI

As a believer, you’re not to live in constant fear of what the future holds for you. Having put your life and future in the hands of Christ, be confident that your future will greatly increase. Our scriptural focus for today states – Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross. {Gal 3:1 NLT}
It was a huge embarrassment to Apostle Paul to see the Galatian Christians whom he has greatly laboured over to abandon the gospel of grace as revealed through the death and resurrection of Christ to start following Jewish traditions in order to be made right with God. His disappointment knew no bounds, no wonder he uses the word – Oh foolish Galatians, who has cast an evil spell on you. To him it was totally beyond commonsense to abandon life/light and head for death/darkness. He recounts how they presented Christ to them, how that it was so real that they could see the whole event that took place as touching the death of Christ.
It is the misleading information given to the Galatians Christians by some Jewish believers, presenting the law as still a requirement for righteousness that, Apostle Paul was actually addressing as ‘An evil spell or bewitchment’. This information, which contained God’s former dealings with the nation of Israel brought fear and confusion into the lives of the Galatians. They felt the gospel Apostle Paul and his team presented to them was no longer the true gospel.
We need to understand as Christians, that misinformation about the gospel of grace is one of the greatest strategies of the devil in this end times, and it is been used today to shipwreck the faith of some Christians. Be grounded in the scriptures and do not allow the gospel of this new age which is contrary to the gospel of Christ be a bewitchment to your faith.

Christ has been revealed – say no to the devil’s lies.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
