Grace and The Calling Part VIII

Then fourteen years later I went back to Jerusalem again, this time with Barnabas; and Titus came along, too. I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. {Gal 2:1 NLT}

Don’t give up on the people you love, your patience, love and faithfulness, maybe exactly what the Holy Spirit requires from you to completely turn around their lives. Our scriptural focus for today states – Then fourteen years later I went back to Jerusalem again, this time with Barnabas; and Titus came along, too. I went there because God revealed to me that I should go.
Apostle Paul’s second visit to Jerusalem in company of Barnabas and Titus was not just for mere formalities, but was born out of a revelation from God. He did not visit Jerusalem to receive instructions from the other Apostles with regard to the ministry he was already discharging for Christ, nor was it for them to confirm his apostolic office.
His visit was a clear cut demonstration of total obedience and submission to the instructions of God, who is the owner of both the minister and the ministry. As a minister, carrying out your ministry based on Gods directions, will make you to be more effective and focused. He also went with those who have been with him in the ministry, as a means of living by example before them.
Living our lives as believers based on the revelation of God, cannot be over emphasized, especially in our currently world, when deception has been taken to an all time height in human history. Going by Gods revelation to Jerusalem, gave more meaning and purpose to their visit. In the same way living by Gods revelation will add more meaning and properly define your purpose in life as a believer.

Be guided by God.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
