Grace and The Calling Part VII
All they knew was that people were saying, “The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy, And they praised God because of me. {Gal 1:23 – 24 NLT}
Your life as a believer will not change until you get the scriptures into your heart/mind and allow it to change your thought pattern. Until that is done, nothing may really change. Our scriptural focus for today states – All they knew was that people were saying, “The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy, And they praised God because of me.
The churches in Judea by this time had almost forgotten about Paul, because when he stopped persecuting the church which was what made him famous, many in the church forgot about him. The shocking news they had later was that – The one who used to persecute the church is now preaching the very faith he once tired to destroy, what an amazing testimony to the power of Grace. His conversion brought celebration, the church praised God who alone can do such miracles in human lives.
The conversion of Apostle Paul was unbelievable, because he was so zealous for the traditions of Judaism that may Christians would have written him off, no one ever thought he will preach the same gospel he once was destroying.
You may have a brother, a sister, a relative, a friend, it may even be your parents whom you have given up on because of their attitude against the gospel, let the story of Apostle Paul rekindle your hope and confidence in the miraculous power of Grace in changing the lives of men. I was once in this category, many gave up on me because of what the devil was doing through me, but my mother refused to give up, she kept praying and preaching to me and one day the power of Grace made the difference, and like Apostle Paul many praised God on my behalf. Don’t give up on any one still under satans deception, he/she can be your praise testimony tomorrow.
The power of Grace is Limitless.
