Standing Fast IV

And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life. {Phil 4:3  NLT}

As a believer, there is nothing really you can do about the mistakes of the past, but your partnership with the Holy Spirit sets you on the path of actualizing Gods plan for your life on this earth. Our scriptural focus for today states – And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.
The concern of Apostle Paul in this matter was to by all means possible restore these women to true Christian fellowship and lifestyle. They were part of his team that he can boldly say had there names written in heaven. It will be important to state that these women has in the past proved themselves to be true followers of Christ and not just religious people or hypocrites.
Apostle Paul exemplifies that those who have been involved in sharing the Gospel and showing others the way of righteousness should not be abandoned in times when there own faith is being challenged, rather those who are matured should labour to restore such brethren. Secondly, Apostle Paul was saying that, these women are heaven bound and should be helped to stay heaven bound.
When you see fellow believers in such situations as described in this scripture or even more, its not the time to castigate them or turn them to an object of gossip in the church, rather you should see it as a time to encourage, strengthen, and teach such believers more of the life of Christ. Bear this in mind, that everyone who has genuinely accepted Christ is heaven bound and we should stand with each other until that goal is accomplished.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
