The Knowledge of Christ Part I

I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, {Phil 3:10  NLT}

The life which we owe to Christ, and have the privilege to hold in Christ, we are bound by the strongest claims to use it for Christ to the fullest. Remember that God gave all who believe in Christ their life back to use it for His glory. Our scriptural focus for today states – I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death. Apostle Paul makes an honest and profound statement when he said – I want to know Christ, bearing in mind that he has been born again for many years now and has been actively involved in service in the new testament church at different levels, yet he is still driven by an unquenchable desire to know Christ. His statement establishes that:
1. There is no end to knowing Christ.
2. The more you know Christ, the more you should desire to know Him
3. The more you know Christ personally the more you experience His divine power in your life.
4. You cannot substitute knowing Christ personally for anything else in this world.
The goal of Apostle Paul wasn’t just to answer a believer, but he wanted to have a first hand experience about the power of resurrection and to also suffer for Christ by sharing not just in His physical death but to share in the purpose of His death.
As a believer, experiencing the power of God personally is uncompromisingly rooted in your knowledge of Christ. Like Apostle Paul, change your focus from depending on ‘Men of God’ to experience the power of God and start pursuing the undiluted knowledge of Christ. Note that your unquenchable desire for the knowledge of Christ, also empowers you to suffer freely for the purpose for which Christ dead on the cross.

Go for knowledge, Go for Christ.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
