In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing. {Phil 2:14 TLB}
As you set out to achieve your set goals and dreams, reflecting always on the agency of God around you should provide the needed encouragement that will bring about great success in your life. Our scriptural focus for today states – In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing. Apostle Paul offers a very important advice if we must maintain good personal relationships in the church, family and the society at large. That you’re a believer does not insulate you from complaining, murmuring and arguing over issues with people. Coming to the point were you live your life without complaining or arguing is a choice you must make. Developing an attitude were you see only your own ideas or suggestions as the best and must be followed, will always bring about complaining, arguments and murmuring. Please note that no single human being is an island of knowledge and wisdom, we all know in part.
Hear this – Then Abram talked it over with Lot. “This fighting between our men has got to stop,” he said. “We can’t afford to let a rift develop between our clans. Close relatives such as we are must present a united front.
As believers, we have the Abrams’ example to learn from, we must always remember that we are close relatives, we belong to One Big Happy Family, and we don’t need to do things that will brood strife or bring about contentions in the church, family or society.
The Abrams example shows us what it means to follow Peace with all men, disregarding who is right or wrong. Our overall aim/objective as believers, should be to maintain a united front against the devil, but were things like complaining, murmuring, argument and fighting abound, we can only become a prey to the devil and will always have a divided house. Remember that a house divided against itself cannot stand.
Start practicing a life void of these bad vices.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
