My staying will make you glad and give you reason to glorify Christ Jesus for keeping me safe when I return to visit you again. {Phil 1:26  TLB}

The things that truly excites us as believers and turns us on to do the will of God are the things that really defines what life is to us. Nothing can steal a believers joy, if he/her truly depends on Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – My staying will make you glad and give you reason to glorify Christ Jesus for keeping me safe when I return to visit you again. Apostle Paul had joy and motivated the brethren to share that same life with him because he loved them. He was optimistic that his continuous stay with them will be a great blessing to them and their joy in Christ will overflow.
True Christianity is not about fulfilling one’s personal ambitions and desires, rather helping others know Christ better and better as you have the privilege to live on this earth. To positively influence others for Christ through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is the best way to share our lives with others. Nothing else should be the source of our joy, it should both begin and terminate in Christ. It is also an obligation to both acknowledge and rejoice at the works of Christ in the lives of other believers. Apostle Paul states that the church will rejoice and celebrate Christ the more for keeping him alive, it suggests that what he went through was such that many thought he would not make it out alive but Christ kept him. As Christ kept Apostle Paul to make for the rejoicing and celebration of the church to overflow, so will Christ continually keep you that is standing for righteousness and it will bring about great rejoicing and celebration of the goodness and faithfulness of Christ in your life.

Christ in you the only hope of glory
