Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. {Eph 6:18 NLT}
Spiritual warfare is not meant to be totally an individual believers affair, rather we should stand together as One body of Christ even in spiritual warfare. You are expected by God to stand with your fellow believers in prayer, that’s why the building of a united front as we face the onslaught of the devil is inevitable. Our scriptural focus for today states – Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. {Eph 6:18b NLT}. Our success story as believers should be that of our collective victory over the devil as the Body of Christ and not as individuals. Therefore the need to always stay alert and be persistent in your prayers, not just for believers that are either your friends alone, members of your church/fellowship but for all believers everywhere. If we all as believers can discard the seeds of division and selfishness that we have allowed the devil to plant in our mist and embrace the Bigger Picture – that we are members of One Big Family, realizing that injury to a member of the family, is injury to the whole family. Your alertness in prayer should serve a dual purpose;
1. To ensure your personal victory in every spiritual warfare
2. To equally ensure the victory of other believers in the battle front.
As you cultivate the habit of being persistent in prayer for yourself, for other believers and refusing to give up, no matter how difficult the current situation by look, be assured of this fundamental truth – Victory is in sight.
Be alert, Be persistent – Be victorious always.
