Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. {Eph 6:14 NLT}
The various armour of God are symbolic clothing of the believers true strength, which signifies character as the divine strategy that wins spiritual battles, as against brutal force or the other demonstrations of human strength, which is being peddled by the devil and in the human eyes, it looks very attractive but they are all efforts in futility. Our scriptural focus for today states – Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. The following are the representations of this spiritual armour in spiritual warfare;
1. The belt of truth – Speaking the Truth always against the lies of the devil. Part of the strategy of the devil is to fill our world with so much lies, such that speaking the truth becomes a difficult thing to do, especially in the business environment. Secondly to make lie to become an acceptable norm both in the society and in the church. Currently lies are being peddled from telephone conversations, to print and motion media’s, to some human appearances, and worst of it all, to some testimonies and sermons we hear in church today. As a believer, you don’t need to tell a lie to cover up for the wrong you did either knowingly or even unknowingly. Hear this about Jesus – He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment. {Isa 11:5 NLT}. God wants every believer to come to the point were we have so mastered speaking the truth, that in every situation we find ourselves weather to our benefit or to our hurt, we will speak the Truth because it has now become part and parcel of our lives.
Truth is the Mother tongue of believers, while lying is the Mother tongue of unbelievers.
