We have been on this series for six Saturday’s running – Tips for maintaining sexual integrity as believers. We have maintained that sexual integrity is basically about faithfulness to the marriage covenant for married people or purity in relationship for engaged people.
Tip 7: GET COMFORTABLE
The problem of sexual temptation isn’t going anywhere, as long as we are still living on this earth. This is a fact every believer must learn to accept. It’s been with us since time immemorial, and no doubt it will plague this world until Christ comes. So i advice you learn to get comfortable with the idea that you’ll need to manage your sexual desires righteously throughout life, always remembering that your sexual integrity is a crucial part of the general life-long sanctification process all believers go through to conform to the image of Christ. “I count myself not to have attained perfection”, Paul told the Phillipians. “I am still not all I should be.” (Phillipians 3: 12-13) So learn to love and pursue the process of pressing on to ultimately achieve perfection when we shall see Him{Christ}, not a feeling of momentary/earthly perfection. Forgetting whatever may have happened in the past to you, that attempted to take away your sexual integrity is a must, and focusing on what lies ahead of you in Christ is your gate way to a life of fruitfulness.
Self control is a must for every believer.
