To make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. {Eph 5:26 NLT}
Christ had a purpose for which He willingly accepted to die on the cross to demonstrate His love for the church, similarly husband’s should be purpose driven if they must give their best in demonstration of their love for there wives. Our scriptural focus for today states – To make her holy and clean, washed by the cleaning of God’s word. The following are the intentions of Christ towards the church that the husband is expected to reproduce in the life of his own wife;
1. To make her holy and clean – It is the responsibility of the husband to chart the right spiritual course for his wife. In this generation, were the spirit of error is actively at work in the world and also in the church, instituting holiness and balanced spiritual values is a must for all godly husband’s that know there onions.
2. To wash her by God’s word{The Bible} – It is the responsibility of the husband to know, teach, and model the truth of God’s word to his wife. The defilements caused by the spirit of error in the lives of people can only be washed away by the Truth of Gods word been taught by a person that has the spirit of revelation in the word of God.
Christ expects all godly husband’s to be carries of the spirit of revelation, so that they can be effective Priest to there wives as He{Christ} is to the church.
The spiritual needs of the wife is the business of the husband.
