Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Eph 5:20 TLB}
Thanksgiving is not something we do occasionally as part of our sunday worship, rather for a believer, Thanksgiving is suppose to be an Attitude/A lifestyle. Our scriptural focus for today states – Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also been conditioned to think that Thanksgiving is only necessary when we have a major financial breakthrough or deliverance from an accident etc, but the scriptures teaches – Always give thanks for everything. It is an Attitude we should cultivate as believers, because it will make us stand out in the mist of unbelievers. Thanking God always and in all things, especially when things are not favourable, is one of the greatest demonstration of a believers faith, trust and confidence in the unfailing abilities of God to always meet our needs. If we reduce Thanksgiving to only when things are favourable, it shows we are walking by sight and not by faith. God excepts that Thanksgiving should be part of a believers daily life here on earth.
Thanksgiving is appreciating the goodness of God in Christ.
