Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. {Eph 5:3 NLT}
Having received Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, you have become a part of Gods people. There are things that should not be mentioned among us as community of believers, and our scriptural focus puts it this way – ‘Let there be no sexual immortality or impurity among you, because you are on your way to perfection. Sexual immorality and impurity go hand in hand. Sexual immorality is all forms of sexual activities or immoral behaviours out the marriage relationship, while impurity is the state of being impure because of contaminations, pollutions or adulterations. As a believer, don’t allow the devil contaminate your mind or heart with impure thoughts, because it will lead to a lot of sinful vices, for instance sexual immorality is the by-product of impure/immoral thoughts. Your mind/heart is the center of all spiritual activities in your life, don’t allow these vices gain access into them. Follow this advice – But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life. {1Tim 6:11a NLT}
