Marriage is a mutual partnership/relationship between two matured/consenting adults; it is not a parental relationship.

Regardless of how right you think you are and regardless of how wrong you think your spouse is, it is wrong to treat your spouse like a child. Treat your spouse with the same respect you expect from him or her. Consider your spouses feelings, choices and opinions in your decision making.
The oneness in marriage does not turn spouses into clones. Even identical twins think and act differently. Give your spouse enough room to express their God-given unique abilities and individuality.
Celebrate your differences; because its wisdom to see difference in people, don’t allow them destroy your relationship or separate you. Treat your spouse if possible the same way you would want to be treated.
