Early Years

Her emotional state was profoundly disrupted by this incident, which resulted in problems with trust, self-worth, and rage. She became a Christian early on in spite of these obstacles; although she has said at the time that her faith was shallow, she became Christian.
1967 saw Joyce wed Dave Meyer. They have four children taken all together. Her personal healing and ministry were greatly supported by Dave her spouse.
Beginning Ministry
Joyce started visiting neighborhood Bible study groups in the early 1970s and felt a great calling from God to impart people with the Word of God. Her teachings attracted attention, and she became an associate pastor in a nearby St. Louis church. Inspired by her expanding audience, she began a radio program on a tiny station in 1976, which set the groundwork for her worldwide ministry.
