Dennis Quaid and Lori Loughlin, along with the films “Jesus Revolution” and “Super Mario Bros. Movie,” won the top prizes at the 31st annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards Gala, which honors the best in television and film that promotes family and religious values.

The event, which took place on February 9 at Hollywood’s famous Avalon Theatre and made its television premiere on March 7, was hosted by Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar of Great American Family.

“A Paris Christmas Waltz” won the Best Family TV category, while “Super Mario Bros. Movie” was voted Best Family Movie. The “Chicago P.D.” episode “New Life” received Best TV for Mature Audiences, while “Jesus Revolution” took home the Best Movie for Mature Audiences prize.

“Sound of Freedom,” starring Jim Caviezel, received the Faith & Freedom Award for Movies in honor of motion pictures and television programs that celebrate freedom and religion. “A Million Miles Away” on Prime Video won the prize for TV. Quaid for “On a Wing and a Prayer” and Loughlin for “A Christmas Blessing” received the Grace Prize, which honors exceptional performances that perfectly capture God’s grace, in their respective categories.

“I never witnessed this occurring. “I’m truly fortunate to be able to pursue my passion of filmmaking, so thank you,” the “Full House” actress said as she accepted her prize.

Numerous musical performances took place during the evening, including one by Quaid and Grammy-nominated performer Blessing Offor, who gave a rendition of “Brighter Days.” Actress Candace Cameron Bure of “Full House” led a prayer to end the evening.

“In 31 years, this was the most joyful, blessed, and enjoyable Movieguide ever. Ted Baehr, executive producer and Movieguide publisher, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am grateful for God’s grace and everyone involved who made it great.”
