The Word Revolution

Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”   John 18:36 [NLT]

As a child of God, the kingdom whose citizens we are by privilege, is not an earthly one. We are not to carry out our kingdom business/responsibilities in an earthly way.

The one (Jesus), on whose account we were received into this kingdom refused to use earthly systems during the days of His passion to achieve success/victory.

Under intense pressure, hear Him – “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom, He reechoed it again – But my Kingdom is not of this world. His emphasis goes to establish that, it is a crime punishable by the Holy Covenant of our Kingdom for any citizen to use earthly systems or the world systems no matter how celebrated they are to achieve success/victory, even in the face of intense pressure.

1 Peter  2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.  21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:  22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:  23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously – (Kjv)

No matter how beautiful and comfortable this world is today, the fact still remains, that we as citizens of Heaven are not of this world, and should live as those expecting a future glory that will only be revealed when we meet Him (God).

Christ and not this world is our example, please follow His steps.

Have a Grace filled day.

Shalom
