Love is a strong factor in human existence. Sometimes we act the way we do because of the nature of love in built in us. This nature of love in man, originated from God {The Father}, the creator of man.

Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us?

36 No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; 37 but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. 38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, 39 or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us. {Rm 8: 35 – 39 TLB}

No man can fathom the reason or depth of the Father’s love towards us.

See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children—think of it—and we really are! But since most people don’t know God, naturally they don’t understand that we are his children. {1John 3:1  TLB}

A story was once told of a man who had tried in several ways to stop smoking cigrattes. His wife picked a book, and a part read, ‘when you smoke you don’t only hurt yourself but you also hurt your loved ones’. Knowing who her husband was and knowing he would definitely come check what she had been reading, she kept the page well opened for him to see and read when he comes to check on her.

At the point when her husband came to see what she had been reading, it struck him so hard and that marked the beginning of his freedom. Realizing he was also hurting his wife whom he loved so much brought an inner strength within him which helped him get to his freedom.

We have something greater, The Father’s Love. He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him give us all things?

One of the questions that stare us in the face is, ‘can we truly love our Father{God} the way He loves us and can we truly love our fellow men the way our Father{God} has loved us?

Hear this – Jesus replied, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’ 38-39 This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.’ 40 All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets stem from these two laws and are fulfilled if you obey them. Keep only these and you will find that you are obeying all the others. {Matt 22: 37 – 40 TLB}

God’s love is perfect and with that love He builds us unto perfection. – But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. {Rm 5:8 TLB}
