When your thoughts and actions as a married person is to give your spouse what they deserve in the name of love, – you need to understand that its no longer the God-Kind of Love you are practicing in your marriage but a performance based reward system.
Your actions will be determined always by what they deserve per time. So if your spouse does good, you will give him/her good but when they do badly, you equally behave badly towards him/her . Such marriage relationship may not become the best God wants it to be.
God has never given any human what they deserved and never will He do it especially in the new testament.
He has always given humans what they don’t deserve and what they will never deserve, that is the God-Kind of Love.
The actions of Jesus Christ in His death demonstrated two fundamental things:
1. Love for God
2. Love for the whole world.
As a married person let your love for your spouse be that of what they don’t deserve and will never deserve, – with this mindset you can go to any length to demonstrate the God-Kind of Love to your spouse, in your home and you will never want anything else in return.
Let your actions of love always demonstrate this two fundamental things
1. Unconditional love for your wife/husband
2. Unconditional love for your children.
With this mindset, you will be setting your marriage on the path of becoming all that God wants it to be on this earth. You will enjoy your marriage, your spouse will enjoy it and will wish there should be marriage in eternity so that both of you will continue it.
Your children will have the best home and godly examples.
