But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. {Phil 1:24  NLT}

If you live just for yourself, you will not go far in life but if you live for other people and the actualization of their dreams and aspirations, then you will make an impact by the help of the Holy Spirit that will be generational. Our scriptural focus for today states – But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. Here, Apostle Paul puts the needs, desires and expectations of the church over and above his personal preferences. He had a desire at this point in his life and ministry to depart this world to be with Christ, maybe he felt he has done enough to depart but looking at his brethren, the people he has laid down his own life to bring to Christ, remembering the love, joy and godly affection they have shared together, he couldn’t help but say – But for your sakes I will stay on. What an emotional statement, what an outburst of godly love and concern for the brethren.
As a believer, God expects you to always but your personal preferences, ambitions and desires aside for other people and most importantly for the course of the Kingdom. Hear these words – We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. {1 John 3:16 NLT}. Let your greatest pursuit and ambition in life be to use the privileges, opportunities and giftings of God upon your life to be a great blessing to other people. Be selfless – Be like Christ. Who are you living for?

Living for others is the Hallmark of true Christianity.

Have a Grace filled – Good News awaits you.
