Today we continue our series on – Steps To Achieving Excellence. Before we continue, What is Excellence – It is the quality of being excellent in the things you do. It is natural for humans to  constantly speak in admiration of those who are excellent in whatever they do. These could be students who achieved academic excellence, successful business people, top athletes, celebrities, etc. Envy aside, most times we do not spend time to think about why or how these people achieved excellence. It is seemingly natural for most people to just accept that certain people were meant for excellence while others weren’t. This is a dummy that was sold to many, even believers. Follow us on this journey and discover that you too can achieve Excellence in the things you do.

8. Focus Your Efforts
To focus means to concentrate one’s attention/abilities on selected area’s with the aim of achieving maximum result. Once you have finished trying out every single thing that you can see, now focus your efforts in the areas which bring you the most results. I subscribe to the 80-20 principle, where 20% of causes lead to 80% of effects you see in a situation. Focus your energy in the few key drivers of success which will lead you to the results you desire. This way, you will utilize your efforts more effectively, which can be subsequently channeled into more value-added activities.
Hear this words of wisdom – Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. {Prov 22:29  ESV}.
To focus on few area’s will help you to maintain;
A. Your vision
B. Your drive for excellence
C. Gets rid of distractions
D. The ability to finish one task before moving to another
E. Your passion/encouragement level, etc.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
