The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit Part III
Beloved when you keep your focus on this loving God who has given everything to give humans a better life here on earth and stop focusing on what seems to be going wrong, definitely you will experience success. Our scriptural focus for today states – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. {Gal 5:22 NLT}
Fruit must grow out a of human life, and in the case of Christians, it is the life of the Spirit. When you think of the works of the flesh, it presents toil, labour, slavery , but when you consider the Fruit the Spirit produces you see beauty, integrity, quietness and the unfolding of the very life/nature of God.
Lets consider the Fruit of Love – The meaning of Love in the new testament is Agape, which means Divine/Gods kind of love. This divine love is God’s gift to His children and expects us to grow daily in it.
Hear this – And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. {Rm 5:5 NLT}. Beloved, it is the Holy Spirit that fills the heart of the believer in Christ with true love because sin made every human to be selfish/self centered and with all the other fleshly attributes of envy, hatred, bitterness, jealousy etc. These attributes that humans inherited from the sinful nature are the things that make it practically impossible for humans to genuinely love one another outside the covenant of Christ.
When you allow the Holy Spirit fill your heart with God’s kind of love, then you can genuinely love others and be able to do kind deeds for them even when they do not deserve it.
Allow the Holy Spirit fill your heart with God’s kind of love.
