The Same Gospel Part IV
Beloved, during our earthly pilgrimage, more people would have learnt from their mistakes, if they were not busy denying them. Our scriptural focus for today states – You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf. {Col 1:7 NLT}
The Gospel of Grace is the only true change agent available on this earth. No matter how bad a human has become, he/she has not gone beyond the change ability of the Good News in Christ. Our greatest responsibility as God’s children is to ensure that we allow the Holy Spirit teach us the Good News about Christ, so that we in turn can teach same to the world around us.
The Colossian brethren learnt the Good News from Epaphras, a man Apostle Paul describes as a co-worker and a faithful servant in Christ.
Beloved, in whatever field of life you find yourself, if you have the seed of salvation in you, you’re a co-worker with Christ and He expects you to discharge your calling in faithfulness. We are all stewards of Christ and it is required in stewardship that a man be found faithful. Apostle Paul had not been to Colosse, but he committed the work there to Epaphras, who carried out his calling as a faithful servant of Christ without Apostle Paul direct supervision. We are not to be men pleasers, nor carry out service in the church through eye service, rather we should be faithful servants of Christ who can model the Good News to others.
Be a faithful servant of Christ, help in the Gospel.
