The Work of Christ Part V
Let God’s curses fall on anyone, including myself, who preaches any other way to be saved than the one we told you about; yes, if an angel comes from heaven and preaches any other message, let him be forever cursed. {Gal 1:8 TLB}
As believers lets bear in mind that God’s grace involves something more than the salvation of humanity, we are not only saved by grace but we are to daily live by grace. Our scriptural focus for today states – Let God’s curses fall on anyone, including myself, who preaches any other way to be saved than the one we told you about; yes, if an angel comes from heaven and preaches any other message, let him be forever cursed.
The perverting of the gospel of grace in the Galatian church was so bad that Apostle Paul rained down the curses of God on those who have decided to allow the devil use them to destroy the good work already done by him and his team. Apostle paul had to wage war against the false teachers/preachers that were aimed at destroying the work of Christ, because he loved the Truth, and secondly he also loved those whom he has been privileged to lead to Christ for redemption.
It will be important for believers to note that the true test of a man’s ministry is not popularity, nor is it the miraculous signs and wonders that follow his/her ministrations but his/her Faithfulness to the Word of God{The Gospel of Grace}. Sometimes people bring all kinds of messages that contradict the Gospel of Grace into the church claiming they had a revelation by an angel, apostle paul’s conclusion is let such an angel be cursed forever. Its time to rise up against all forms of ungodliness and perversion that is practiced in our churches, but for you to effectively resist them, you must commit yourself to knowing the Truth of the gospel by the help of the Holy Spirit.
