Christian Attitude Part I
Beloved, the Holy Spirit wants you to live with the consciousness that He has empowered you to live everyday above these negative emotions. Our scriptural focus for today states – Don’t lie to each other. You have taken off those old clothes—the person you once were and the bad things you did then. {Col 3:9 ERV}
That the community of believers everywhere are referred to as the Body of Christ is a mystery of the New Life in Christ that every believer must understand. We may have different skin colours, we may belong to different countries, we may speak different languages, we may even attend different churches, but in Christ we are One, this we all must understand.
Based on the revelation of our Oneness in Christ, the Holy Spirit is warning every believer – Don’t lie to each other. He is not also saying that we are now free to lie to those outside the Body of Christ, rather we even need be at our very best when relating with them. Beloved when you correctly discern the Body of Christ, you will not do anything that is against our new nature in Christ as we relate with each other, whether it’s in the church, at the home front, or in the business environment etc.
You are destroying our unity in Christ when you lie to others
