Christ The Liberator Part I

Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price of dying for our sins, so that we may gain the ultimate privilege of a personal relationship with Him here on earth and an eternity with God. Our scriptural focus for today states – So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. {Gal 5:1  NLT}
The Galatian Christians were not religious slaves before they encountered the glorious light of the gospel of Christ, rather they were slaves to all forms of idol worship and human philosophies. The tendency for them to go back to their former way of worship, was no longer possible but there was the possibility of becoming religious slaves, for which Apostle Paul reminds them of their true freedom in Christ, which is not based on the law. It will be important to emphasize that Christ is the only and true liberator who sets believers free from all forms of spiritual and physical bondage. It is one thing for Christ to set you free by grace, is another thing for you to stand firm by spiritual knowledge and enjoy the freedom that Christ purchased for you through His death and resurrection.
Some false teachers were trying to confuse the Galatian Christians with the aim of enslaving them again through the law, but Apostle Paul brings to their knowledge that it is their personal responsibility to maintain the freedom freely given to them by Christ.
Christ has eternally set us free from the law and any other bondage but bear in mind that it is our personal responsibility to maintain that freedom by going after the truth and allowing the truth of the gospel form our believe system and equally determine our action/lifestyle. Some people have genuinely come into the body of Christ but they have allowed some false teachers to get them tied up again in slavery to the law, don’t allow any man deceive you, but if you’re already in the deception, we pray that you will encounter Christ the great liberator and you will definitely be free.

Stand firm in grace and enjoy your freedom in Christ.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
