Faith Righteousness Part II
Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. {Phil 3:8 NLT}
When a sinner becomes a Born Again Christian, God supernaturally takes away the damage sin has done in that life and replaces it with the Higher Life in Christ that is empowered to rule the world. Our scriptural focus for today states – Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.
Apostle Paul willingly and joyfully choose to loose everything he held dear and precious in order to gain Christ. When he became Born Again, gave up his brilliant prospects in regard to this life and everything indeed on which his heart had been placed. He might have risen to the highest position of honour in his religion and society, all these and many more he cheerfully sacrificed for the knowledge of Christ.
The Christian life is purely about emptying ourselves of our personal ambitions and taking up that of Christ, in order to live a fulfilled life here on earth that will bring glory to God and blessings to us His children. The question is – Have you come to the point were gaining the Knowledge of Christ supersedes every other desire and pursuit in your life?, Are there things you can’t give up in order to gain Christ?. The example of Apostle Paul can become the benchmark upon which you can start building a new relationship with Jesus. Those who will let go Everything for the sake of Christ – Will again more than the things they sacrificed plus Eternal Life.
Christ is everything to a believer.
