For you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. {Phil 1:5  NLT}

Gospel partnership during our earthly pilgrimage is not for a secluded few who are viewed as being stupendously rich, rather its for all believers, because its all about advancing the course of our Father’s business. Our scriptural focus for today states – For you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. The basis of Apostle Paul’s prayer thanksgiving and expressions of joy towards the Philippian church was not just for the good reception they gave him and the gospel of Christ, but also for their active partnership in the gospel.  From the time they received Christ as Lord and saviour, they have not relented in spreading the Good News to others.
The gospel of Christ is not a catalog of dos and don’ts, neither is it a collection of religious dogmas, rather it is the Good News sent to humans to bring about a Good life that will always please God here on earth. If you as a believer realizes that this Gospel of the kingdom is the only thing that has the ability to transform a chronic sinner into a blood washed saint, you will do all within your power, even to the point of going out of your way to support the spread of the gospel in anyway possible to you.
Apostle Paul’s testimony of the Philippian church of how they have remained steadfast in spreading the gospel from the first time they heard about Christ until the point of writing this letter, should challenge every believer who have gradually slowed down or stopped participating in the spreading of this Good News about Christ or in other forms of gospel partnership to reawaken or rediscover our passion for both going to take active part in the spreading of the Gospel of Christ and providing other forms of gospel partnership.

You’re a partner with God in the gospel on this earth.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you
