Christian Attitude Part II
Beloved when you properly discern the Body of Christ, which is the basis for our Oneness, you will not do anything that is against this new nature we have in Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – Don’t lie to each other. You have taken off those old clothes—the person you once were and the bad things you did then. {Col 3:9 ERV}
In Christ Jesus, we all have taken off the old sinful nature which was responsible for the ungodly lifestyle we were living. Our scriptural focus likens the old sinful nature to clothes, and wants us to understand that the same way we remove our clothes when they have become dirty and reach out for a new one, that is what has happened to every believer who has experienced the new life in Christ.
Having removed the old sinful nature and has now put on Christ, it’s no longer in our new lifestyle to still continue to live like the old lifestyle. Brethren we must live daily with the consciousness that something spiritual happened to us when we met Jesus Christ at the point of salvation. Don’t continue to live as though nothing happened, because your skin colour did not change, neither did you increase in height or weight etc.
Things are different Now, You have Christ.
