The Irrevocable Promise Part I

As a believer, if you allow your human desires to influence your Christian behaviour, you will definitely have stunted spiritual growth, but if you allow God’s desires influence your Christian behaviour, then you will experience speed in your spiritual growth. Our scriptural focus for today states – Dear brothers and sisters, here’s an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in this case. {Gal 3:15 NLT}
The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul describes the promise given to father Abraham by God as irrevocable. The same promise was extended to the Gentiles through faith in the finished work of Christ. The Holy Spirit uses an everyday human experience to establish the reliability of God’s promise. Just as no human can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in the case between God and humans.
It will be important to state that God’s promise made to His children in Christ cannot be amended or set aside by any human or spiritual powers, nor can it be amended or set aside by any severe economic or political conditions been experienced in any country of the world. Hear this – For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. {2Cor 1:20 NIV}
It is important for you as a child of God to convince yourself  and live daily in the reality of this eternal truth – that nothing on this earth has the power to amend or set aside God’s promises for you during your earthly pilgrimage, not even the devil is sufficient. Gods promises for us His children was sealed by the death and resurrection of Christ, and just as the death of Christ cannot be reversed or amended, similarly the promises made available to humanity through the death of Christ is Eternally IRREVOCABLE.

Nothing can stop you from enjoying God’s promises.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
