The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit Part IV
Beloved stop trying to use God’s instructions for someone else to build your spiritual life, because it may not work for you. Wait on God for your own instructions and live by it. Our scriptural focus for today states – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, {Gal 5:22 NLT}
Apostle Paul begins this discussion with the fruit of love because all the other fruit is really an outgrowth of love. Looking at the other eight fruit of the Holy Spirit in the light of 1Cor 13:1 – 8, it becomes clearer that love is the foundation upon which our new life in Christ is built. A person who lives daily in the sphere of God’s kind of love will not struggle to manifest the other eight fruit of the Holy Spirit.
In our world, the devil has so spread the gospel of hate that humans no longer have value for the life and existence of others. The church has been subtly tricked into accepting this gospel of hate that is built on selfishness, greed, jealousy, etc over and above the true gospel of Christ which is built on love.
As Christians, do we actually preach and practice love to the world around us, or has the devil replaced the love of Christ in our hearts with hatred and bitterness. It is heart breaking to Christ to see that Christians now desire the death of unbelievers more than anything else. Have we lost the heart of compassion that made Christ give His life to save the world because of mundane things that will one day pass away.
Friends love does not delight in evil but rejoices at the truth, love never gives up, love endures through every circumstance, love is always hopeful, it always sees the brighter side, love keeps no record of all the wrongs done to it, all the gifts of the Holy Spirit will one day become useless but love will live forever.
Cultivate that which you will need in eternity.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
