The Work of Christ VII

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. {Gal 1:10  NLT}

As a believer, no body is better quipped nor qualified to guide your steps or lead you in the paths of righteousness and prosperity than God, so let your total dependence be on Him. Our scriptural focus for today states – Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. {Gal 1:10  NLT}
Apostle Paul makes it very clear that the stand he has taken is not in anyway aimed at winning the approval of men. In our world when an individual takes a firm stand on an issue that is almost getting the approval of the majority in society, people accuse that person of seeking attention. Apostle Paul had to clarify the Galatian Christians and those propagating the false message of grace, that is motive was never to get the approval of men but his overriding aim in preaching the gospel has been to gain God’s approval.
Listen to this – When the motive is wrong, the response/outcome will equally be wrong, but when the motive is right, the response/outcome will be right. As a believer, never do anything or take any stand whether popular or unpopular in order to get the approval of men. When you seek the approval of men, you definitely will loose the approval of God.
Like apostle paul, let getting the approval of God in all issues, whether your stand is popular or unpopular be your guiding principle in life.

God’s approval is all you need.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
