Spiritual Dignity Restored Part V
God does not guide those who want to run their own life independent of Him, rather He will only guide those have discovered that they can do nothing without His Divine guidance. Our scriptural focus for today states – Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir. {Gal 4:7 NLT}
When Christ purchased our freedom from the law and the devil, it was not a private transaction, rather it was a public transaction and He paid in full all that the entire human race owed the devil from the days of Adam to date. Hear what the scripture says – In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. (Col 2:15 NLT).
Based on this undeniable fact, as many who have come to God through Christ are no longer slaves to the devil, sin or any world system that seeks to enslave the inhabitants of this world. We are no longer slaves but God’s dear children purchased with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
By our new privileged position, we have been restored to our creation mandate as heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. We now have unlimited access to God’s estate both here on earth and in eternity. The privilege of being God’s heir on this earth is an enviable position, not even the Angels of God enjoy such privilege. It will be important for you as a child of God to understand that you mean so much to God, and as His heir, He will go to any length both to defend and provide for you even in the face of the worst economic or political situations.
You’re God’s heir.
