The Irrevocable Promise Part II

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the abilities of Christ, so stay focused, keep your eyes and heart always on Christ and His mighty power. Our scriptural focus for today states – God gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to his children,” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to his child”—and that, of course, means Christ. {Gal 3:16 NLT}
When God gave this promise to father Abraham, He was not establishing a physical/human process of honouring legal agreements, rather He was establishing a spiritual/eternal order of keeping His promise which will not be dependant on any human process. If the promise was made to father Abraham and his children, it would have referred only to his biological children, and the rest of the world outside the Commonwealth of Israel would never have benefited from that promise.
The promise was made to father Abraham and his spiritual seed which is Christ, in order to accommodate anyone, anywhere in this world that will acknowledge Christ as his/her Lord and Saviour. The promise is Gods spiritual legal Will and was brought into full reality by the death of the testator which is Christ. In Christ, you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Christ is the only gateway to accessing all that God has provided for His children, if you’re not yet in Christ you can do it today. Gods promise to His children on this earth is Irrevocable because of the obedience of Christ but you can personally deny yourself  of the wonderful provisions of His Promise through Ignorance and choosing to live a life of sin.
So it is your responsibility to know the provisions of the Promise and daily appropriate it to your life.

The Promise is for all in Christ.

Have a Grace filled day, Good News awaits you.
