Today we continue our series on – Practical Steps To A Deeper Friendship With Your Spouse. Marriage, like any other friendship, begins with areas of commonality, but the stresses of our day to day life like – children, work, finances, illness, caring for elderly parents, careers, the home etc – can tax the union and cause it to grow apart. It is your responsibility to take steps that will build friendship in your marriage.

3. Explore the interests of your spouse.
When couples take out time to explore the interests of their spouse and do their best to be committed to such interest genuinely, it will definitely aid their friendship. Find out what they are passionate about and then join them. As believers, the things that you are interested must be godly for it to build deeper friendship in your marriage. Often this takes a bit of sacrifice, but be willing to go the extra mile in helping your spouse achieve their area’s of interest. It may even be something you don’t have interest in but because of your spouse you can choose to develop the interest.

Be interested in the things that interest your spouse

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
