Christian Attitude Part III
Beloved you must live daily with the consciousness that something spiritual happened to you when you met Jesus Christ at the point of salvation. Our scriptural focus for today states – Now you are wearing a new life, a life that is new every day. You are growing in your understanding of the one who made you. You are becoming more and more like him. {Col 3:10 ERV}
Having put off the old sinful nature and all its negative influences, you were clothed with a New nature which is after Christ. This New nature which you have received in Christ has nothing to do with the outward change of your physical attributes and this is the point the devil is using to deceive some Believers, because he wants them to think and believe that nothing actually happened to them.
The New Life you have received in Christ is a spiritual life and it has the capacity to be new every day. It never grows old, rather it is renewed after Christ on a daily basis. The uniqueness of this New Life is that it is New everyday and makes the Believer equally New everyday. The character and lifestyle of the Believer is changed everyday to conform to the image of Christ by the newness that is in this life. Beloved you’re not the person you use to be, you are now a brand new creation that is no longer influenced by sin but by righteousness.
You are always New, have nothing to do with the old
