A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. {Eph 6:10 NLT}
Having now been recreated through accepting the finished work of salvation by Christ, the believer has now been given the divine power of God that will enable him/her to dominate on the earth. Our scriptural focus for today states – A final word: Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. For apostle Paul to give this emphatic advice – Be strong in the Lord, it implies that human strength and power is grossly inadequate in spiritual warfare. So to depend on your human strength or power in order to maintain your spirituality, is only a wasted effort that will always produce failures. Hear this – He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone. {1Sam 2:9 NLT}. Our scripture for today also establishes that as believers, we are only strong and unbeatable only in the Lord. To be strong in the Lord and His mighty power, simply means to put your trust and confidence in the invincible and limitless power of God. Secondly it also means to put in ones very best to acquire the balanced knowledge of God and to act always in accordance with the Bible. It has become very necessary to be strong in the Lord, especially In these days were a lot of activities around Christian circles are unconsciously instilling fear in the heart of believers towards the devil and his demons. Any believer who will learn to be strong in the Lord and His mighty power by always appropriating the position of victory Christ won for us in his/her life, will always enjoy a life of all round victory over the devil and his demons. Always let your strength and power be in the Lord and His mighty power.
