Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. The Life of Christ which every believer has been called to live is not a playground, rather it is a spiritual life with its demands and expectations. Christ expects every believer to double as a Servant called to share the good news and also as a Soldier called to defend the Faith. Our scriptural focus for today states – Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Christianity is not a religion as the devil is working hard to brand it, rather it is the lifestyle of Christ now being lived by humans on this earth. As believers, it is an established fact that we are living in a world filled with unspeakable and unthinkable acts of wickedness, but Gods expectation as stated in this scripture is that we live a life that showcases us to this world as Citizens of Heaven.
Its time for believers world over to focus more on our character and equally commit ourselves to raising people whose character also agree with the message about Christ. Christianity will become more effective in this world when the lifestyle of believers who are representatives of Christ is in total agreement with the message about Christ that they are preaching. Because of the mixed multitude we have in churches today, many have learned the christian language and patterns, but have not imbibed the lifestyle of Christ which is the foundation of true spirituality. Christianity is not defined by the church activities you’re engaged in, rather its defined by the extent to which your lifestyle is daily conforming to that of Christ, which is the only Standard God will use to judge the world.
Its time to live the total Gospel.
